About Control
Intro
Initially MASKERADIO broadcast on 1224AM then 92FM, 92.2FM, 97FM and today 99.4FM, Control was formed over 25 years ago during the 1980 capping week to keep the student body here at Massey University Palmerston North New Zealand up to date with what was going on.
Such a success broadcasting was included during the legendary Orientation weeks and eventually a fulltime radio station was spawned.
Now broadcasting 365 days a year across the Turitea campus and into the Manawatu area Control 99.4FM (rebranded from Radio Massey to Control 99.4FM Feb 14th 2001) has seen many a staff member a heap of hard working dedicated volunteers and even a couple of MUSA general managers.
Control 99.4FM has returned to the Massey University concourse into the newly renovated MUSA (Massey Universtity Students Association.) building, thanks to the move team of A. Ferguson, C. Harding and J. Lissette for making this possible and relatively painless.

About CONTROL
Just like the window in a massey Friesian heifer, if you peer beneath out silky smooth exterior you will find specialist music shows.
Control is part of the Bnet, that way we can muck around in the department of news and stuff, and just hook up with them when we need it. The Bnet has independent news and interviews, weekdays on the Wire at midday. This is brought to you, the people, by volunteer staff who research the news and ask the questions that cut through the rhetoric. What you get is information you won't hear anywhere else, delivered in a style that doesn't patronise.
Bnet also helps make it possible and kinda makes sure Control offers listeners a shelter from the harshness of mainstream (crap) radio. The ads are crackup az and the attitude is real. It's the voice of the little guy or gal and the road cone used as a megaphone of people who simply love good music. Give it a go. And not just once. Make us your local.
